The Hokun Trust

Scope of Work

We are keen to

1) Support the translation and/or publication of original texts, talks and other teaching materials;

2) Provide funds to allow individuals who would otherwise be unable to cover the costs to attend retreats in the UK and to stay at training locations in Buddhist countries;

3) Support small satellite groups to help them promote Buddhism by, for example, funding teachers to visit and contributing to the cost of purchasing materials;

4) Support activities that traditionally complement the spiritual path known as Ways. These may include martial arts, the tea ceremony, ikebana (flower arranging) and calligraphy;

5) Fund activities to sustain and develop links with countries in which Buddhism is traditionally practised; and

6) Fund the development and production of books and teaching materials for children.
